Butterflies...I love butterflies! The July Inspiration Challenge at Get Picky is all about butterflies. I made this layout for the challenge. My niece isn't chasing butterflies though...she's chasing bubbles.

My first blog post for Glitz Design

It's such an honour to be making my very first own blog post for the Glitz blog today. I have been playing with two of the winter releases from Glitz. First, my absolute favourite...the Laced with Grace collection... I just LOVE the colours and the patterns. In the photo my son is hugging one of his younger cousins. He adores her!

Secondly, I made a layout with the lovely Love Games collection. And the layout is of course about my dear husband. The red goes so well with the black and white. To make it even more romantic I added some lace and the red flower and butterfly.

Zva Creative July DT Blog Hop!

Zva Creative and our talented Design Team welcomes you to join us this month for a blog hop that we feel is always extra special!

We know that it's a busy time of year with kids home from school and vacations, so we thought it would be more fun to add even more chances to win our blog hop prize! Details below.

Today I want to share a really happy layout. The Zva Creative flowers and bling are just perfect for the bright and shiny photo. I got inspiration from one of the weekly challenges (#66) at The Color Room. The colours of the Zva flowers perfectly matched the colours of that week.

Mini album "Me at 40"

My dear daughter (12) took some photos of me on my birthday a few weeks back and I wanted to use some of them in a mini. This album came with the embellishment add-on kit for July at Swirlydoos. The embellishment kit also included the clear stamps for Butterfly Garden from Pink Paislee. I used them a lot in the mini.

The papers, the stamps, the ribbon and most of the flowers are from the July kits at Swirlydoos. I have added the leaves and the swirls from my own stash.

Last projects for Kaisercraft

I made the decision not to reapply for a dt spot at Kaisercraft. I really love their beautiful products and they are really generous. But it also required a lot of time. I am truly grateful for the last year and the opportunity to design for them. Perhaps I'll apply again next year...

My Mother & Me

This is my very first layout as a designer for Glitz Design. Every month there is a challenge over at the Glitz blog and this month the challenge is to use background stamps. As you can see I have stamped on the cardstock and then torn the patterned paper at some random places to show the stamping.

The photos are of my mother and me and were taken when we celebrated my mother's birthday in May.

This is a layout I made for the sketch that comes with the kit. I have inked the resist paper from Pink Paislee in both pink and brown to go with the rest of the gorgeous Pink Paislee papers. As you can see I love my border punches, since they give such a delicate touch. The lovely girl in the picture...that's my daughter.

I am a Glitz Girl!!!

Today is my 40th birthday. A lot of mixed feelings for sure. I'm happy to be who I am, and at the same time I don't want to get older (nor younger actually). Anyway...

A few weeks ago I got a mail .... I was asked if I wanted to join the Glitz designteam!!! Wooooohoooooo! Of course I said YEEEEESSSS!!! I really L.O.V.E. their products!!! So watch out... you'll see some Glitz projects here every month. You can see the announcement here.

In the meantime I have some other inspiration here. Speaking of turning 40...A layout about me which I created using sketch #243 at Pencillines.
